Professional Experience
Professor Venansius Baryamureeba is a Professor of Computer Science. He holds a PhD from the University of Bergen in Norway. He served as the Founding Vice Chancellor of Uganda Technology And Management University (UTAMU) from September 2012 to September 2015 and as the 14th Vice Chancellor of Makerere University from November 2009 to August 2012. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Computing and IT and Director of the Institute of Computer Science at Makerere University from 2001 to 2009. Prof. Baryamureeba has also served as Chairperson of the Inter University Council of East Africa; Chairperson of the Research and Education Network of Inspiration Uganda. He currently serves as the Chairperson of COMESA Innovation Council, Chairperson of Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board and Chairperson of Makerere University Business School Council among others.

Professional Experience
Prof. Justin Epelu Opio’s proffessional career spans over 40 years in Veterinary Anatomy beginning at the Universities of Nairobi to Makerere from 1971 to todate. He rose from Tutorial Assistant to Research Assistant in the Department of Veterinary Anatomy at the University of Nairobi from 19671972. At Makerere University he progressed through the levels of a lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Dean, Associate Professor, Professor from 1973-to-date. He became a Deputy Vice-Chancellor and acted as Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University between 19932004. He has published articles and written research reports, consultancy reports and presented many papers at various conferences/workshops and seminars in Uganda and internationally. Books Published: Epelu-Opio, J. (2009): Teso War 1986-1992: Causes and Consequences; published by Fountain Publishers Uganda Ltd.

He rose from a lecturer, member of Faculty of Medicine Research and Ethics committee, Head of Department of Anatomy/Medical Illustrations, Deputy Dean Research Faculty of Medicine, Chairperson Higher Degrees Committee Faculty of Medicine/ College of Health Sciences, Chairperson Faculty of Medicine/College of Health Science Research and Ethics Committee, Acting Dean School of Biomedical Sciences, Dean School of Biomedical Sciences to date, and Associate Professor of Medicine in Makerere University from 1996 to to date.

Professional Experience
Mr. Amos George Mfite Basaza professional career as a Geologist and a Manager started way back at Kilembe Mines as a Vocational Section Geologist Trainee, in 1969. He carried on as a teaching assistant at Makerere University and Colorado School of Mines in USA respectively from 1973 to 1974. He later joined Kilembe Mines Limited as a Mill Metallurgist, Mill Superintendent, Metallurgical Superintendant and eventually became General Manager 1975 - 2003. He retired from Kilembe Mines and established Industrial Minerals Ltd where he’s currently the Chairman/ Managing Director. From 2008 todate he was appointed Chairman Technical Petroleum Commitee, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (GoU).

Mr. Robert Odok Oceng began his proffessional career as a Teacher at Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga and Kalinabiri Secondary School from 1987 to 1998. He joined the Ministry of Education and Sports in 1999 as a Principal Education Officer, rising to Acting Assistant Commissioner and currently Acting Commissioner for Higher Education (Universities and Polytechnics).

Dr. Charity Basaza Mulenga pro- fessional career spanning over 10 years began when she joined MTN Uganda as a Switch Planning En- gineer in 2001. In 2003, she suc- cessfully applied for a scholarship from British Council to pursue her Master in UK and left MTN Uganda. In 2005, she joined Faculty of Com- puting and Information Technology, Makerere University as a Research Coordinator during which period she got scholarship and completed her PhD in Research Area: Antennas and Electromagnetic modelling and was appointed Assistant Lecturer in the same faculty. She later joined St. Augustine International University in 2009 as Deputy Vice Chancellor.
